Fri. Aug 14 and Sat. Aug 15 , La Luna returns to the Carnegie arts Centre in Kenmare Their music is a wonderful mix of folk, jazz and pop which gives a great night entertainment . Singer Helen Botman takes the audience on a journey through songs of the world . She gives voice to French chansons , the lonely portugese fado tunes Spanish folk songs and so much more . Last year La Luna received the Rabo culture prize 2008/2009 and currently their working on their new album which will contain poems from all over Europe . A preview of the new project can be heard on their last CD " La Rout Lila " on which they put the poem "Geis" ,from the Connemara Poet Mary O,Malley , to music . The concerts will start at 20.00 and tickets are sold ( 15,- euro ) at the Carnegie ( 064-6648701) www.carnegieartscentre.com On October 24th the Kenmare's first duathlon, 40km cycle and 6km run in aid of Kenmare Rugby Club underage teams and Kenmare Hospital Fund.
